Company History
PSB Insurance Services commenced as an insurance agency on 17th September 1989, and then registered as an insurance brokerage with ASIC (Australian Securities and Investment Commission) on the 11th September 1991. With a major commitment to the long term viability of our business, particularly through the recession, we developed our business plan.
Our business plan focused on obtaining “quality people” with the education, skill, knowledge, patience, and attitude to deliver uncompromised service levels with speed and efficiency. PSB’s eight staff in Melbourne alone can boast in excess of 150 years insurance experience. We are pleased to report it is these people and this attitude which has enabled PSB to far exceed it’s its original business plan and have grown to be in the top 33% of insurance brokers nationally.
PSB have identified several key niche markets as varied as Tradesmen and women with specific legislative requirements to fulfil their insurance needs to aviation risks involving fire fighting helicopters however we provide general broking services on almost all lines of general insurance products. We now have clients in every state in Australia. PSB Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd now enjoy a sound reputation amongst our peers and the underwriting fraternity.
We are leaders in the use of technology driven solutions including being the first “live” site for Winbeat (Heart’s 2001 Insurance Broking System Solution) which is now released to the other brokers nationally. We also were one of the first to connect to Telstra’s new Sunrise exchange Internet enabled connection between our broking system (Winbeat) and the underwriters systems around the country.
PSB’s head office is housed in a modern well-equipped office in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. With our effective use of technology we now provide quality services to our clients from Perth, Cairns, Darwin Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Hobart and in between.
